As wolves return to the Northeast states of  New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine,  they do so on a vastly different social, political, and ecological landscape than elsewhere in the country. This fact creates opportunities and challenges unique to the region.

The Northeast Wolf Coalition is an alliance of organizations and individuals working towards a common vision where wolves once again play a positive, meaningful, and sustainable role on the landscape and in our culture.

Members of the Northeast Wolf Coalition seek to efficiently and effectively achieve that shared vision while honoring our unique values, strengths, and goals. The coalition was brought together for the purpose of achieving our shared vision by communicating, coordinating, strategizing, sharing information, reducing redundant efforts, and pooling resources.

The Northeast Wolf Coalition Steering Committee will prioritize the Coalition’s interests, keep people informed of decisions made in a timely fashion, and will - to the best of its ability – provide opportunities for input and seek the opinions of coalition members on important decisions affecting the coalition and/or individual coalition groups.
